Explores and reformers like different things and experiences and as the brief specifies that the product must be based around reformers or explores. The survey finds out which one the person is so I can then base the product around either one. A reformer comes to their own independent judgement so there is no point trying to force a point of view while an explorer wants new different experience something they haven't seen before.
